Owner Survey: Potential Gate System Upgrade
The Board is evaluating a potential upgrade to the community gate access system to a LiftMaster myQ system. Most of the base replacement cost can be covered by reserves, but the current system is not scheduled for replacement for about 4 more years, so replacing it early would need a one-time owner assessment. No final decision has been made, and the Board would like to hear from owners before moving forward.
Option 1, Replace Now: a one-time $50 assessment per home. Includes a smart video intercom, smartphone gate access, seeing and speaking with visitors, remote gate opening, and a digital directory with guest access.
Option 2, Upgrade with Vehicle RFID Entry: a one-time $100 assessment per home, including 2 vehicle tags. Includes everything in Option 1, plus a long-range vehicle reader for hands-free entry, which reduces reliance on remotes and shared gate codes. Additional vehicle tags are $35 each.
The RFID option would help eliminate untrackable remotes and shared gate codes, which may present a security concern. Please take the short owner survey below by October 31, 2026 (one response per home). No Help Case is needed; the survey is the way to share your feedback.
